| Zen | Doctrine, presumably followed by many Software designers and developers, asserting that enlightenment can be attained through direct intuitive insight. Doesn't work for most people. |
| Zip | A widespread file format commonly used for distributing Software on the Internet. A Zip file is a Compressed "archive" (collection) usually containing several files. Windows XP can open (but not create) Zip files, but all other versions of Windows and most other Operating Systems need additional software to do this. A commonly-used commercial Zip program for Windows is "WinZip", but there are numerous cheaper and even free alternatives. Zip is not designed to compress files that are already heavily compressed, such as JPEGs and MP3s - the result is likely to be larger rather than smaller. |
